【摘要】:Foranygivenceramiccomposition,oneormoreofthepropertiescoveredhereinmaybeofmoreimportanceforagiveninsulatingapplicationthantheotherproperties.Thus,itmaybeappropriatethatselectedpropertiesbespecifiedfortestingtheseceramicmaterials.Pertinentstatementsofthesignificanceofindividualpropertiesmaybefoundinthesectionspertainingtosuchproperties.1.1Thesetestmethodsoutlineproceduresfortestingsamplesofvitrifiedceramicmaterialsthataretobeusedaselectricalinsulation.Wherespecifiedlimitsarementionedherein,theyshallnotbeinterpretedasspecificationlimitsforcompletedinsulators.1.2Thesetestmethodsareintendedtoapplytounglazedspecimens,buttheymaybeequallysuitedfortestingglazedspecimens.Thereportsectionshallindicatewhetherglazedorunglazedspecimensweretested.1.3Thetestmethodsappearasfollows:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionstatementsaregivenin11.3,13.5,and15.3.
