【摘要】:Coverssafetyrequirementsformotors,motorparts,andcombinationsofsuchpartsintendedforuseinappliancesandequipmentthatcomplywiththerequirmentsforsuchappliancesandequipment.Thisstandardappliestobothopenandtotallyenclosedmotors.Itcoverscommutatormotorsoftheseries,shunt,compund,andpermanentmagnet-fieldtypesrated5horsepowerorless,250voltsorless,alternatingcurrentordirectcurrent.Italsocoversmotorsotherthantheaforementioned,rated600voltsorless,100horsepowerorless,with19-inchdiametersorless,andcommutatormotorsoftherepulsiontypeonly.ThisstandarddoesnotcovermotorsforuseinhazardouslocationsasdefinedinANSI/NFPA70-1981,NationalElectricalCode,nordoesitincludeperformancerequirementsthatdependuponapplicationintheenduseequipment.
