【摘要】:Thefreezingpointofanaviationfuelisthelowesttemperatureatwhichthefuelremainsfreeofsolidhydrocarboncrystalswhich,ifpresentinthefuelsystemoftheaircraft,canrestricttheflowoffuelthroughfilters.Thetemperatureofthefuelintheaircrafttanknormallydecreasesduringflightdependingonaircraftspeed,altitude,andflightduration.Thefreezingpointofthefuelshallalwaysbelowerthantheminimumoperationalfueltemperature.Petroleumblendingoperationsrequireprecisemeasurementofthefreezingpoint.Thistestmethodexpressesresultstothenearest0.1x00B0;C,anditeliminatesmostoftheoperatortimeandjudgmentrequiredbyTestMethodD2386.WhenaspecificationrequiresTestMethodD2386,donotsubstitutethistestmethodoranyothertestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthetemperaturebelowwhichsolidhydrocarboncrystalsmayforminaviationturbinefuels.1.2Thistestmethodisdesignedtocoverthetemperaturerangeof-80to20x00B0;C;however,theinterlaboratorystudymentionedin12.4hasonlydemonstratedthetestmethodwithfuelshavingfreezingpointsintherangeof-60to-42x00B0;C.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
